For cleaners
Whether you're a W-2 employee or a 1099 subcontractor, doing a turn in OpenTurn works the same way.
Accepting a job offer
When a manager offers you a turn, you'll see it under Jobs with the property, date, and pay. Open it and choose Accept or Decline. Once you accept, it's on your schedule — if you've connected Google Calendar, it shows up there too.
Doing a turn, room by room
Open the job and tap Start Job to begin inspection. Pick which rooms you're inspecting, then go item by item: take a photo and mark each one clean, dirty, or not applicable. Marking an item dirty starts an upcharge claim for it — the photo you take is the evidence your manager reviews, so make sure it clearly shows the condition.
Once every room is done, tap Start Cleaning. When the clean is finished, tap Complete Job and take an after photo of every item you inspected (clean and dirty both) — this is your record that the work was done, not just the upcharge evidence.
Understanding your pay
Your pay for a turn depends on how your company pays you — per turn, per room, per square foot, or a percentage of the charge — plus whether upcharges and materials are included. Check your Profile or ask your manager which model applies to you. Completed turns and their pay show up in your job history once they've been reviewed.
